It’s a joke to say ‘Messi failed once again for his national team’. Did you even watch the WC? Did you even watch Copa America? I don’t think so, because if you did you’d see Leo fought his hardest, he pushed till the last moments. He created chances left and right, chances that were sometimes beyond his fellow teammates. He was intrinsic in taking Argentina to both finals. This is not to say Messi is the only Argentinian star, the truth is far from that. But to say Messi failed? to perpetuate the idea that Messi let his team down? It’s plain ol’ wrong. His heart is white and blue. His sentiment is Argentina. He deserves more with his team, he deserves better for what he has brought to the table. This is just a series of unfortunate events–it is not indicative of failure on Messi’s part.
